Fun fact #1– Their journey
Cranberries are cultivated in bogs. Bogs are set for very long, with some vines being up to 100 years old or more. These berries are beaten from the vine, aggregated and vacuumed into a truck where they are cleaned and sorted.
Fun fact #2 – Sustainability
Our cranberries are sourced and harvested sustainably, with continuous improvement plans implemented — especially regarding water management, pest management and waste reduction and recycling.
Fun fact #3 – Protecting the environment
The entire cranberry system provides a diversity of habitat for numerous animal and plant species.
Fun fact #4 – Reducing our impact
Water is reused from bog to bog before returning to natural water systems, also from farm to farm. There is also a strong emphasis on minimising the risk of pesticide contact with ground and surface waters to minimise impact on local water systems.
